BiForm was founded with a simple yet powerful purpose: to make a real impact on the construction industry’s environmental footprint. Our founders, Vee and Tau, saw firsthand the destruction caused by deforestation and the construction industy. They knew they couldn’t just stand by—they wanted to create a solution that reduced harm to the planet while providing builders and homeowners with quality, sustainable materials.
That vision led to the creation of BiForm, a company driven by sustainability, high standards, and a deep respect for the environment. It wasn’t easy—when we started nearly 20 years ago, composite materials were a new concept in New Zealand, and the market was deeply rooted in traditional timber. But we persisted, proving that sustainable materials could be just as durable, beautiful, and high-performing as their less eco-friendly counterparts.
Through continuous improvement, we’ve strengthened our commitment to sustainability and customer service. We’re proud to be a market leader in sustainable certifications, holding FSC certification, as well as a Red List Free - Declare Label, and BRANZ appraisal. But we don’t stop there. We fund and participate in native tree planting, donate decking to the Department of Conservation for huts and infrastructure, and offer free recycling for our product packaging.
Sustainability isn’t just a checkbox for us—it’s embedded in our culture and decision-making. If something doesn’t align with our environmental values, it doesn’t make the cut. A major milestone in our journey was the decision to franchise the business. This allowed us to bring in like-minded, value-driven individuals who share our vision for sustainability and customer excellence. Today, our nationwide team provides not only high-quality composite decking, flooring, and screening but also expert design, consultations, and ongoing support, ensuring that every customer receives the best possible experience.
