BiForm offers custom solutions for any decking situation.
Our Stack N Pack Joist Mount system won’t break the bank and is an ideal option when using a timber substructure over a waterproof membrane or concrete.
The versatile Joist Mounts can be used with both 45mm and 50mm wide deck joists and can be stacked on top of each other (maximum of six mounts high), creating an extra 20mm of height per mount. Using the Joist Mounts in conjunction with our 3mm packers means that virtually any angled surface can be levelled out.
The BiForm Joist mounts are made from hard wearing, durable plastic and have been tested to bear a load capacity of over 1.3 tonnes per joist mount. Given that the Joist Mounts can span up to 600mm apart, this is a great option for low height, high load projects.
Why do we need to lift our joists off the ground?
These durable, stackable joist mounts sit underneath regular timber, keeping them up off the membrane or concrete, allowing rainwater to flow beneath. This protects your timber joists from sitting in water, absorbing moisture, and rotting while also preventing damage to your waterproof membrane underneath.
By ensuring the integrity of your waterproof membrane remains intact, this is a simple, easy-to-install solution to your membrane decking headaches.
When working with an angled fall, you can either user a single Joist Mount base layer and rip the joist to the fall, or you can stack the Joist Mounts and use our 3mm Joist Mount Packers to achieve the desired height.
