Trees That Count mobilises businesses, planters, and individuals to restore New Zealand’s unique biodiversity, take action on climate risk, and grow a brighter future through the planting of native trees.

“We’re off to a modest start on the project, but so far the 266 trees we’ve helped to be planted will support the removal of 61 tonnes of carbon dioxide from our atmosphere over 50 years,” says Biform founder Vee Aupa’au.

Biform’s efforts have supported 18 planters throughout the country, in areas ranging from Northland, Auckland, Gisborne, Taranaki, and Hawkes Bay in the North Island through to Nelson, Tasman, the West Coast, and Otago in the South Island.

“Biform and its partners share a strong commitment to ensuring a sustainable future,” says Vee.

Trees That Count is managed by the Project Crimson Trust, a charity that has been at the forefront of community restoration in New Zealand since 1990.

“As with our innovative packaging recycling programme, we see our association with Trees That Count as another positive way we can demonstrate our practical commitment to sustainable, eco-friendly actions,” says Vee.
